A New Start

Clouds over Fornebu, Norway

I’ve been working as a graphic designer for over 15 years now –shit that’s scary –and I still feel like I have no idea what I’m doing. Don’t tell anyone… please.

So why build a new website. Why now?

It’s been in the works for over a year. There’s nothing quite like building something where the only person you have to answer to is yourself. I’m an ass as a client. It might not look like there’s much here, but I’ve labored over every pixel on this page and changed my mind dozens of times. It’s not done, but it never will be.

It’s a reflection of me. My hope is that by clicking around, you’ll have a good sense for me as a designer and maybe as a person. Might be a stretch, but tell me if I’m right after you meet me. You also should follow me on Twitter and on Instagram.

It’s a good excuse to learn new software. In my case it’s a wonderful CMS that I plan on using more in the future called Kirby. Kirby makes it feasible for people like me who know enough code to be dangerous to build a site that clients can easily change.

I’ve been doing more architectural photography and need a site to reflect that.

I need to write more. There, I’m writing, see. I don’t know if this blog will be full of design links, become a travel journal, or grow stale, but there’s only one way to find out.

Hope you like the new look. There are a bunch of ways to contact and follow me on the bottom of the page –please let me know what you think. And let me know if anything is out of place or doesn’t work. You’d want to know if your fly was down.
